INVESTIGATIONS
WELCOME TO THE INVESTIGATIONS PORTION OF THIS SITE!!
I have decided that there are just too many incidents that have take place at Purgatory to list on the Purgatory page. So I have created a New one for that among others that have been "Checked Into" by Spirits N More.
The following are actual notes taken by us on our trips! These have not been posted on this site before so as they may be old they are new to the site! The very First trip that we took as a group was unproductive all we managed was to get our selfs lost and going in circles! =)The trip after that was not recorded so there are no foot notes etc, nothing but memories that we share.

Who was there: Paul, Chrissy, Mark, Dave, Josh- We rode in Dave's White BMW.
Our First stop of ths night was Brick Chapel Cemetery/Church. Constantine Michigan
When we arrived there were considerable differences compared to the last time that we visited. For starters the time was about 10:30pm Indiana time. The moon was out so everything was quite visible. However the moon at times was well hidden behind the grey clouds that surrounded the area! So it gave everything a sort of bluish tint. Wheras last time it was PITCH black.The hole under a window on the left side of the Church appeared to get a little larger. When you look into the Church through the hole there are now pieces of cement that were not there the last time that we were here. Sitting below the hole which is probly a 5 foot drop at the most. These pieces of cement made it easy to get down into the inside of the Church, which was probly why they were put there. When standing in the interior of the Church it looked as though you were standing on what at one time could have been the basement floor. To the back of the Church there was a WIDE open LARGE doorway. (see pictures Page)Josh and Paul stayed inside of the Church while Dave and Myself went across the street to the Cemetery. Mark stayed in the car which was parked beside the cemetery.
We had two way radios with us. (They were provided by Josh)
Paul and Josh had one, while Mark had the other one. Dave and I proceeded to take pictures of the cemetery. Mind you not going into the cemetery itself but staying on the outter brink. We took pictures of the little sign that classifies its name. BRICK CHAPEL CEMETERY. It looks as if it was made with iron. Mark called me to the car a couple of different times. The first time he told me that something was rocking the car. There was no one around the car. So Dave and I both took pictures around the car. Both of us were using Advantix camera's by Kodak. Josh and Paul were equipped with a disposable 33mm.
Mark called me to the car again. This time he told me that something came over the radio and was talking to him. He answered What to Josh and Paul who said that they had not said anything. This spooked Mark slightly.
Dave and I walked onto the road to get a few pictures of the right side of the exterior of the church. We were only there for a few minutes when Paul and Josh came out the Front door of the Church. At this time I asked them to all stop moving because I heard rustiling. Mark then came over the radio and said that he saw what he appeared to be a person behind the church. So needless to say that we were unable to take the pictures we desired due to the fact that we thought someone had spotted us and called us in to the police.
At one other point which I forgot to mention in the above, when we were all inside of the church (except Mark) Mark had called me to the car ovre the radio and told me that he saw a distinct figure walking at the back of the cemetery.
We rapped up our trip to the church/cemetery satisfied and crossing our fingers that the pictures we had taken would turn out!

ALSO ON THIS SAME NIGHT!
This would be our second stop of the night. SHAVEHEAD CEMETERY
There was extreme two-way radio silence. Paul and Josh ventured into the cemetery. I stayed in the car with Mark while Dave went off to take a whiz. Josh went to the far right corner of the cemetery where he says that he had extremely strong feelings. He said that there is a small hill ( which there is) He said that he felt like there was something standing there and saw what appeared to be a figure. He walked back to the car very quickly. Where he left Paul behind who did not seem to mind. After Josh got into the car he just sat there. Forgetting that he needed to let Paul in the car. After we left the cemetery both Josh and Mark started to hear strange noises. At this point I rolled the window down. None of these noises can be accounted for. After we left shavehead I was overcome with the feeling of Nausea (not at all common for me I may throw up 1 time a year if even that). It did not go away until hours after we returned to our house. At this point the roll of film from the advantix camera's had not been developed- I believe that these were lost because I do not recall ever getting them develpoed at all.
STRANGE ENCOUNTERS on OUR TRIP!
A coyote in a field, he stood very still as Dave tried to stop the car. I was trying to get a picture of him but he moved away as soon as the car started to stop. On another road near the church we found a huge white barn which sits alone. It appears to be abandoned. Paul and Josh both wanted to stop and take a look and Dave started to sway that way too. But Mark and I were dead set in not stopping there. There is something about the barn that gives me extremely strange uneasy feelings. The most I have done is taken pictures on other occasions. I have yet to stop and get out for a closer look!
JOSH'S ENCOUNTER AT SHAVEHEAD CEMETERY
WE pulled up to the cemetery and I walked towards the back of it. I got about 5/8 of the way into it and I froze. I had an indescriable feeling. I looked to the left and saw nothing but headstones, a fence and a field. I looked off to the right and saw bushes. In the right back corner where something caught my attention. I can not even describe the figure that I saw. I could not pinpoint its eyes. I tried to step back but nothing happened. I tried to turn around I even tried to turn my head but nothing happened. My body seemed paralyzed. The feelings that I was feeling felt familiar then they began to change. First my cheeks started to tingle then it moved to the back of my head and the continued down my neck and farther down my body. This is where the odd feeling came in. Shortly after that Mark came over the radio and said everyone back to the car. All I could do was move my thumb. I told him there is something at the back right side of the cemetary hold on a second. Mark failed to be quiet. I froze again. I heard him saying that I was hearing something to the others over the radio. Just then the energy hit me harder and a tear emerged from my left eye. I was not affraid but not at all aware of what was happening to me. Just then Paul walked up beside me and said "whats Up". He had no idea what was going on. I think that he is what broke the the trantz that I seemed to be in. I looked at Paul for a split second and when I looked back what was there before was gone. I got the stong feeling to GO. I got back to the car leaving Paul behind when I got into the car I told Dave TO GO NOW. I totally forgot about Paul before he got back to the car. While we were leaving I told everyone else what had happened. I am determined to find out what is back there!!

On this trip I decieded to write down some questions to go off of so the following are the questions that were written and the answers to them.
Is there anyone else at the Church?
NO. But there is alot of traffic on both roads.
What does the Sign in front of the Church read exactly?
Another fine home by Jim Barna log homes Midwest. 1888 Jim Logs (behind the church off to the right is a log house which looks brand new, this assuming explains the sign.)
Extra-
Chrissy and Dave are the only ones on this trip.
What is the apperance of the Cemetery?
It looks pretty clean. Some of the headstones are broken and extremely old. There were only about 5 of them that had flowers on them.
Anything Strange happening?
It got very cold near the back of the cemetery.
THERE ARE A FEW OTHER TIMES THAT WE HAVE VISITED PURGATORY BUT THESE TIMES REALLY TURNED UP NOTHING TOO INTRESTING>
( MARK REFUSES TO GET OUT OF THE CAR IN PURGATORY. HE WILL BE THE FIRST TO ADMIT THAT THERE IS SOMETHING THAT WALKS THIS PLACE THAT ABSOULETLY TERRIFIES HIM. HE WILL GO ALONG FOR THE RIDE AND TAKE WATCH BUT HE WILL NOT GET OUT OF THE CAR NOT EVEN TO PEE!!)
THE HOUSE ON QUEEN STREET
I had a neighbor with whom I grew up with that was down at my house one night and we started to talk about the spookiness of our neighborhood. She started to tell me that they had some pretty weird stuff happening down at their house. Which of course intrigued me!!!
As I got to know more about her boyfriend I learned that he has a form of ESP. I also learned that his daughter could see spirits. The house that they were living in at the time was a considerable amount bigger then mine. Their upstairs was pretty large! NOONE in the house would use it. Jen was just not going up there, the kids refused and Jim had no desire. They started to tell me about the lights flickering things being knocked off of shelves toys that were put up away from the kids (who are babies)that were there all the time. Jim has other kids but they were not around at the time. That would get taken off of high shelves like in the bathroom for instance that would come down and start going off as if they were being played with. SO I deciede to go down and take some pics.
The first role was very intresting there was only one picture that they would not print off that you will find on the Pictures page. It was taken off of the index print. This is the strangest things I have seen. Someone told me that it looks like that of what is known as Angel Hair phenomenon. This one was a new term to me. So I can not elaborate on it too much.
There were a couple other pics that had some strange things on them and the second time I decided to go take pictures the exact same thing recreated itself so I wrote it off as being explainable.
The strange thing about this particular house is that where as basements are usually cool this one is extremely WARM and the upstairs which should be warm is COOL.
I did some research on this house and found NOTHING that can explain this presence. However the neighbor hood in which we live IS HAUNTED but that I will save for another time!
We together have decieded that the occurences that occured in this house were the direct cause of Jim. They were directly connected to him somehow!
